Methodology

How All Three Programmes Work

Each Auroral programme follows a consistent approach regardless of its length. Sessions open with a reading exercise drawn from a publicly available sample document. Participants work through a defined section of that document, identifying vocabulary and structure, before the group discusses what they found.

Printed materials are provided before or at the first session. These companions serve as reference during sessions and for continued reading afterwards. Facilitators introduce vocabulary in document context rather than as standalone definitions.

All three programmes are explicitly non-advisory. No guidance is given on specific arrangements, products, or decisions. The programme scope is reading comprehension only.

Document-First

Every session starts with the document itself, not a lecture.

Discussion-Led

Groups read and discuss together — no one-way delivery.

Printed Materials

Companions authored in-house, reviewed each cohort.

No Advisory Content

Scope stays within reading and vocabulary throughout.

Programme 01

Reading Mortgage Documents

Workshop · Two Evenings · RM 580

A compact two-evening workshop focused on the structure and vocabulary commonly seen in mortgage-related documents. The first session covers document layout — how sections are organised, what headers signal, and how information flows across a standard format. The second session moves into vocabulary, working through terms that appear most frequently in publicly available sample documents.

The workshop is educational and does not include guidance on whether to enter, exit, or restructure any specific arrangement. A printed glossary is included in the fee and provided at the first session.

  • Suitable for first-time document readers
  • Two weekday evenings, typically 7:30–9:30 PM
  • Printed glossary included
  • Maximum 12 participants per cohort
  • No prior financial knowledge required

Session Outline

1

Evening One — Document Structure

Sections, headers, page layout, and how to navigate a standard document format.

2

Mortgage Literacy Reading Group

Programme 02

Mortgage Literacy Reading Group

Six-Week Programme · RM 1,840

A six-week reading and discussion group drawing on common mortgage-document language from publicly available samples and accessible literature. Each week, participants work through a defined section of material — vocabulary, document types, clause structures, and reading strategies. Sessions are facilitator-led and conversational, with the programme positioned strictly as a literacy course.

A printed reading companion is included in the fee and provided at the start of the programme. Participants are encouraged to bring questions from their own reading experiences, though no specific document is reviewed within sessions.

  • Six weekly sessions, typically 7:30–9:30 PM
  • Printed reading companion included
  • Maximum 12 participants per cohort
  • Pre-session reading preparation each week
  • Builds progressively across six sessions

Programme 03

Annual Mortgage Reading Track

12-Month Programme · RM 4,580

A twelve-month structured reading track combining monthly evening sessions, quarterly reading assignments, and a printed annual companion. Topics rotate across the year through document vocabulary, structural literacy of standard formats, and reflective reading. The programme stays educational throughout and explicitly does not include advisory framing on specific household decisions.

Designed for participants who want to build a thorough reading literacy over time. The pace is measured — one session per month — allowing participants to read at a comfortable depth between meetings. The printed annual companion serves as a structured reference for the full year of study.

  • Monthly evening sessions across twelve months
  • Quarterly reading assignments between sessions
  • Printed annual companion included
  • Rotating topics prevent repetition
  • Broadest vocabulary coverage of the three programmes

Programme Standards

Shared Across All Programmes

Privacy & Data Protection

Participant data is handled in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. No participant information is shared with third parties.

Scope Enforcement

Facilitators follow a defined scope brief. No advisory content — financial, legal, or otherwise — is introduced at any point within the programme.

Public Document Sources Only

All sample material used in sessions is drawn from publicly available sources. No participant's personal documents are ever used or requested.

Annual Material Review

Printed companions and session content are reviewed before each new cohort to ensure vocabulary examples remain current and clearly sourced.

Participant Feedback

Each cohort completes a structured feedback form after the programme. Results are used to refine session pace, material clarity, and facilitation approach.

Group Size Limit

A maximum of twelve participants per cohort is enforced across all programmes. This preserves the discussion-based character of sessions and ensures everyone has space to contribute.
